"It’s A Jungle Out There"

There are snakes and possums, elephants and lions, tree monkeys and river-rats, an entire menagerie of animals you would find in the darkest part of an African jungle, at the world famous zoo in San Diego, or yes, in the sometimes tangled .internet poker jungle.. There seems to be a direct correlation between animals and the corresponding actions players make when playing in cyber-space, so I asked the question in several forums: .Using an animal to describe your "image" and "style" of play at the poker table (live or internet), tell me "what animal represents you and why." I thought you might enjoy reading a few and see if they captured the essence of the similarity, and if you might have had the misfortune, or good fortune, to have them appear at your table.

(Note: I think most poker players are cognizant of tells and pickup on all bits of information, so when reading the replies (their own posts), note the choice of cyber-name they choose, long before the question was asked):

AKLuvR says: I am like an Elephant – I don’t move fast and you almost always know where I am going because I am really easy to see. If you got a real big gun and know how to use it you might be able to stop me, otherwise it might be smarter to get out of the way and let me pass..

Koolaid says: .How about a possum? That.s southern for opossum. Because lately I feel like I am being run over all the time..

Joanie said: I am like the flightless Penguin who stands around in the cold waiting patiently for a single egg to hatch; then marches back to the danger zone where predators are waiting. I guess, I am a mediocre player, who waits patiently to get in the money and then instinctively it.s back to the tournament tables with new predators. And finally..

Mrbitterness says: .I’m a skunk….because I stink..

As you can see, the choices are many, with some being prey, some are hunters, yet others attempt to balance between the two and make the best of it at the tables. In any event, they all have one thing in common: not to become one on any endangered species list!
